Services · Native Plant Gardens

Plant what already grows on the bench.

A native plant garden uses species from the Great Basin and Wasatch foothills, so it survives Salt Lake winters, July heat and clay soil on little or no supplemental water once established. We design and plant them for color from April through October.

Questions about native plant gardens

When is the best time to plant natives in Utah?

Fall. September and October planting gives roots a cool, wet winter to establish before the first hot summer. Spring planting works but needs more water in year one.

Start with the strip.

A fixed-price park strip conversion, planted to rebate standard, paperwork handled. Most strips are done in a day.
